Primary research theme: Dental Public Health and Health Services
Julia is a research officer and senior dental public health manager at the University of Leeds. Julia gained a degree in Human Ecology from Huddersfield University in 1998 and then went on to complete a Masters in Public in 2003 from the University of Leeds. In 2013, she completed her PhD ‘Comparing smoking cessation services in Bradford & Airedale’ from University of Leeds.
She has held NHS and university posts within the specialties of Dental Public Health and General Public Health. She is currently a Research Officer at the University of Leeds School of Dentistry and supports undergraduate and postgraduate teaching along with her research role. She also works as a Senior Dental Public Health Manager for Public Health England working at local, regional and national levels.
Julia Csikar speaks regularly at national and international conferences and is a referee for national and international journals.
Together with Karen Vinall, Julia will lead qualitative research elements within WP2.
