The main purpose of NHS England, as the direct commissioner of all dental services in England, is to create the culture and conditions that allow the highest standard of dental health care to be delivered to improve access, quality and the health outcomes for people in England. NHS England empowers and supports clinical leaders at every level of the NHS, for dentistry this is achieved through embedded Dental Public Health specialist advisers, Local Dental Professional networks and senates helping them to influence informed decisions to spend the taxpayers’ money wisely and provide high quality services.
